The Vector is SubseaLED’s inspection-class ROV designed for demanding offshore and nearshore operations. Built on years of subsea experience, it combines high thrust, stability, and modularity in a rugged platform that’s already proven in offshore wind farms and cable installation projects.
High thrust-to-weight ratio – stable performance even in strong currents
Modular design – easy to reconfigure for different payloads and tasks
Advanced power system –equipped with SubseaLED’s 3KW surface power supply solutions
Low maintenance cost – robust design with reliable components for reduced downtime
The 20K Lumen LED Light is our most powerful and advanced subsea lighting solution, specifically engineered for Work-Class ROVs operating in the most demanding environments.
At its core, the light features 4 fully independent and redundant LED modules, each with its own dedicated current regulation and thermal management. This architecture ensures that if a single module were to fail, the remaining modules continue operating unaffected, maintaining illumination and minimizing mission risk. This design draws from the proven electronics of our 5000 and 5001 Series, offering unmatched reliability and service continuity.
To protect against overheating, the light includes an advanced over-temperature failsafe:
At 60°C internal temperature, output is automatically limited to 50% to allow thermal recovery.
At 65°C, the light safely shuts down and becomes non-responsive to dimming inputs, protecting the core electronics.
Despite its extreme brightness, the light maintains flicker-free operation even when powered by AC mains voltage using triac phase-cut dimming. This is achieved through our proprietary driver design, which filters and stabilizes the input to ensure a clean and constant light output, critical for HD video inspection and photogrammetry
The Vector has successfully completed offshore deployments, including:
UK North Sea Wind Farm – operation in 1.5-knot tidal currents
EA3 HVDC Cable Project – supporting landfall pull-in with NKT, Reach Subsea, and Seafast Maritime
The Vector has been engineered with an open-frame design, giving operators the freedom to mount a wide range of sensors without the need for bulky add-on skids. This not only reduces weight and complexity but also ensures faster mobilization and easier reconfiguration offshore.
With its large payload capacity, the Vector can accommodate multiple instruments simultaneously — from navigation aids to advanced imaging sonars — while maintaining stability and maneuverability.
Thanks to its dedicated Ethernet connection, the ROV supports high data bandwidth with stable performance even over 300 meters of copper tether. This ensures operators can depend on real-time, high-quality data transmission, making the Vector suitable for inspection, survey or any tasks where accuracy and reliability are essentials.
Compatible Sensor Types:
Imaging sonars (e.g., ARIS 3000, multibeam, scanning)
Navigation instruments (e.g., DVLs, USBLs, compasses)
Measurements probes and environmental sensors
4K cameras
Auxiliary tooling and instrumentation
The Vector is powered by BlueOS, developed by Blue Robotics, ensuring a control environment that is already familiar to thousands of ROV operators worldwide.
This makes the Vector extremely operator-friendly, reducing training time and ensuring smooth adoption for teams already experienced with the BlueROV2.
While the user interface and workflow remain consistent with BlueROV systems, the Vector includes custom software enhancements to guarantee maximum performance from its higher thrust, larger payload, and advanced power systems. These optimizations are integrated, so pilots experience the same intuitive controls while benefiting from the Vector’s superior capabilities.
Key Advantages:
Familiar BlueOS operator interface
Full compatibility with Cockpit
Minimal training required for BlueROV2 pilots
Custom performance tuning for Vector hardware
Future-ready with continuous BlueOS updates and extensions
